Suwannee Hulaween, known for its vibrant blend of music and arts, has announced their lineup for its 11th annual edition, set to take place from October 24-27, 2024, at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. The festival, returning under original co-founder Michael Berg's ownership, promises a diverse roster of artists across multiple genres.

Headlining this year’s festivities is a historic debut collaboration titled 

, featuring Grateful Dead's Bobby Weir and festival stalwarts The String Cheese Incident. The duo will deliver an  performance of Grateful Dead classics, marking a once-in-a-lifetime event for attendees.

Joining them are Black Pumas, Sublime (with OG Members Eric & Bud feat Jakob Nowell), Chris Lake, Killer Mike, Tipper, Tash Sultana, and many more. The lineup spans genres from funk and bluegrass to electronic and beyond, showcasing Hulaween’s commitment to diverse music.

In addition to music, Hulaween is famed for its immersive art experiences, highlighted by the unveiling of the new

Suwannee  Hulaween 2024 & Their Multi Genre Lineup! 

Recently, I had the incredible experience of attending Chase & Status' show in Dallas, Texas, and let me tell you—it was phenomenal. Chase & Status undoubtedly delivered one of the most electrifying performances I've seen all year.

For those unfamiliar, Chase & Status are renowned for their dynamic blend of drum and bass, dubstep, and electronic music. They have an  ability to mix genres that creates an atmosphere that is intense and euphoric. At the Dallas show, their energy was infectious, captivating the entire audience from start to finish.

One of the standout moments of the night was their performance of "Liquor and Cigarettes." Hearing this track live was an entirely different experience—it resonated deep within the crowd. 

Reflecting on the night, I'm already considering attending Freaky Deaky 2024 solely to experience Chase & Status once more. Their ability to connect with the audience and deliver such an amazing performance makes me want to attend again.

Lost Lands 2024: The Ultimate Dinosaur-Themed Rave at Legend Valley

Hey there, fellow ravers! This year marked my third time attending the Ubbi Dubbi festival, and I can confidently say it was the best yet. From the performances to the top-notch amenities, Ubbi Dubbi 2024 was an absolute blast. Here's a detailed recap of my incredible two-day adventure at this fantastic Texas festival.

We arrived at the festival around 4:30 PM, and I was impressed by how smoothly everything went. Parking was a breeze, and the charming Ubbi and Dubbi inflatables at the entrance set a fun and inviting tone. The will-call line took less than five minutes, making for a quick and easy entry. Even though the weather was humid, crossing the bridge was manageable despite the crowd. The reassuring presence of security and medical staff was a comforting sight.

Once inside, the entry process was seamless with all lines moving quickly. Our first stop was the Ultra VIP area, where we found comfortable seating, carpeted areas, and actual seats—perfect for relaxation. The bar lines in Ultra VIP were short, allowing us to grab a Monaco without a long wait. Large fans were strategically placed to combat the heat, which was a relief when we ventured into the General Admission (GA) crowd where it was super hot.

The amenities this year were my favorite, earning an A+ from me. The VIP bathrooms at the Ubbi Stage, while lacking air-conditioning, were close enough to the main stage to feel the vibrations from the music. Fortunately, the air-conditioning at the Dubbi stage was functional, providing a much-needed respite from the 93°F humidity. We sampled some delicious offerings from the Lucas stand, adding to the overall positive experience.

As the evening progressed, the crowd grew denser, but there were plenty of shaded seating areas for attendees to take a break. We started our musical journey with RZRKT b2b Vastive, who delivered an exhilarating set. Skepsis kept the energy high, with the crowd dancing non-stop. JUELZ's trap-heavy set at the Ubbi stage solidified him as one of my favorite artists. TroyBoi and Dabin added a fun twist to the evening, and Alison Wonderland captivated us before we rushed back to catch Bear Grillz b2b Jessica Audiffred, who closed their set with a bang.

Despite missing some openers, we dove headfirst into the beats of Hol! and Crankdat, who had the entire crowd moving and grooving. Taking a break, we fueled up at the Wuden Chopsticks food truck, which was a culinary highlight, unlike the $15 unseasoned fries from the previous day. Wuki's set in the Zoom Room was amazing, and we even snapped a pic with the Ubbi Dubbi fan. Trivecta blew us away with his incredible performance, keeping us on our feet.

Galantis took the Ubbi stage, delivering hit after hit and sending the crowd into a frenzy. Svdden Death closed out the night with an unforgettable performance, complete with infectious energy and mesmerizing pyrotechnics and lasers.

The vibes at Ubbi Dubbi 2024 were an A. Interacting with the crowd was a highlight—everyone was so nice and friendly. People shared their handheld fans to help combat the heat, creating a sense of community and camaraderie. The positive energy was felt throughout the festival, making for an incredibly enjoyable experience.

The production at Ubbi Dubbi gets an A as well. There were enough pyrotechnics to satisfy my love for fire, and the overall setup was impressive. The attention to detail in creating an immersive environment added to the festival's allure.

Ubbi Dubbi 2024 has been an unforgettable experience, filled with fantastic music, a welcoming atmosphere, and a few minor challenges. The only downside was the heat, but everything else made up for it. The change from April to May made it super hot compared to last year, but the festival's many positives far outweighed this minor inconvenience.

I highly recommend checking out Ubbi Dubbi. It's a great Texas festival, and my experience this year has only strengthened my love for it. Stay tuned for more rave reviews and festival adventures—until next time, keep dancing and spreading good vibes!

Ubbi Dubbi 2024: A+ Festival Grade 

Buckle up, bass heads!  Toxic Summer is about to turn The Factory in Deep Ellum into a wobble wonderland, and we're here for every earth-shaking second of it!

Headlining this event is none other than the genre-bending maestro Kayzo. Known for his  blend of hardstyle, trap, and dubstep, Kayzo's sets are like riding a rollercoaster through a thunderstorm – wild and memorable.

Next up, we've got the bass boss himself, Crankdat. This Ohio-born prodigy has been crushing it with his signature "Gear Up" sound. Expect face-melting drops and enough energy to power a small city! I'll be already seeing him 4 times this year... what's another! 

And can we talk about Riot Ten for a hot sec? 🔥 This El Paso native is one of my absolute faves, and for good reason! His bone-rattling beats and relentless bass have earned him a spot in the dubstep hall of fame. Trust me, you'll feel his drops in your soul!

But wait, there's more! Vuiigur and Prosecute, Stoned Level, Subfiltronik b2b Chibsand Hostage Situation!

Y'all, I am LIVING for this lineup! 🙌 The Factory in Deep Ellum is about to become ground zero for the biggest summer bass event in  Dallas! As a certified dubstep devotee, I can barely contain my excitement. This is the kind of show that'll have us talking (and our ears ringing) for weeks! (But remember to wear ear protection! Safety first!)

Toxic Summer: Dallas' Dubstep Dream Come True!

Hey there, fellow ravers! Day 2 at Ubbi Dubbi brought the heat—both in terms of the weather and the performances! Here's a quick recap of all the excitement:

Despite missing some openers, we dove headfirst into the beats of Hol! and Crankdat, who had the entire crowd moving and grooving. Their sets were absolute fire and got us hyped for what was to come.

Taking a break, we fueled up at the Wuden Chopsticks food truck, and let me tell you, the food was on point! Better than the fries the other day. It helped us recharge and get ready for more.

We stumbled upon a cool photo opportunity near "The Outlet," where it felt like we were in a tilted room—fun! Plus, props to the R.A.V.E. initiative for engaging attendees in voting—it's awesome to see participation encouraged in such a fun way.

At "The Outlet," we found a haven with cold waters, essential oils, and even a Kandi-making station. It was the perfect spot to cool off and recharge. Shoutout to the Beatbox spot for their Kandi-making station and drink samples—such a vibe!

In the Zoom Room, we caught Wuki's set and even snapped a pic with the Ubbi Dubbi fan- another cool photo op. Trivecta blew us away with his incredible performance, showcasing his talent and keeping us on our feet.

Venturing into VIP was a game-changer, offering a respite from the crowds and plenty of space for sitting. It was the perfect escape when things got a bit overwhelming.

Galantis took the stage at the Ubbi stage, delivering hit after hit and sending the crowd into a frenzy. And then came Svdden Death, closing out the night with an unforgettable performance. His energy was infectious, and the pyrotechnics and lasers added an extra layer of awesomeness.

We grabbed some food at the booths, and although the $15 unseasoned fries were a bit of a letdown, hunger made them passable. The day culminated with the closing act at the Ubbi stage, featuring my all-time favorite artist. The highlight of the night was a surprise appearance by JUELZ, where they performed their hit song "Formula" together.

Ubbi Dubbi is just this weekend, and as someone who has raved at this  festival for the past three years, I can confidently say this year’s lineup of activities and events is something you do not want to miss!

First off, let’s talk about the R.A.V.E. (Register and Vote Everywhere) initiative. Launched back in 2020, RAVE is making a triumphant return to help festival goers register to vote. Early Wristband pickup is at Panther Island Pavilion on Thursday, May 23, from 12 PM to 8 PM and Friday, May 24, from 12 PM to 8 PM. Don’t forget to bring your ID!

A quick reminder for drivers: parking lots open at 2:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday, with a fee of $25 per day. Both cash and credit are accepted. For ADA parking, don’t forget your valid placards or permits. If you’re catching a rideshare, the drop-off and pick-up location is at 1000 Calvert St. Make sure to schedule your pickups in advance and take advantage of the free internet and power stations at the drop-off point.

Ubbi Dubbi 2024: What you need to know!

German electronic music legend ATB has announced that he will release his final studio album in 2025. With a career spanning over 25 years, ATB has released ten studio albums and earned over 55 gold and platinum awards globally. Known for his innovative double albums—one disc for the dance floor and another for relaxed soundscapes—ATB has consistently pushed the boundaries of electronic music.

To celebrate his legacy, ATB will embark on the "Don't Stop" Summer Tour, allowing fans to enjoy his classic hits and unreleased tracks from the upcoming final album. The tour kicks off this week in New Orleans and continues through various American cities before heading to Europe for the summer festival circuit.

ATB launches “Don’t Stop” Summer Tour

As the days get warmer and the nights get longer, my excitement for Ubbi Dubbi 2024 is reaching an all-time high! Set times are here and it's hard to decide which sets to go to! 

Day 1: Kicking Off with Sable Valley and Powerful B2B Sets

Day 1 is going to be a blast, and I’ve got my must-see artists already circled on my schedule. The one artist I can’t wait to see and will not miss is RL Grime. He’s been a staple in my playlist, and his live sets are always fire! Joining him is Juelz, another gem from the Sable Valley family. Their energy is infectious, and I know they’ll set the tone for an incredible day.

But that's not all! I’m also pumped for the RZRKT B2B Vastive set. I'm not sure what to expect but the synergy between these two artists is going to be off the charts. And let's talk about Bear Grillz B2B Jessica Audiffred. Jessica holds a special place in my heart—not just because she's an incredible artist, but also because she's a fellow Hispanic woman killing it in the industry. Representation matters, and seeing her up there is truly inspiring.

Of course, there's more to explore. Levity is another act I’m excited to catch, and I know there will be plenty of surprises as I wander from stage to stage. Ubbi Dubbi is all about discovering new music and making new memories, so I’m going in with an open heart and ears ready for anything!

Day 2: A Heavy-Hitting Lineup with Svdden Death Leading the Charge

Day 2 is set to be just as fun! My must-see act is Svdden Death. I’ve seen him before in Vegas, and his recent MelloDeath set was mind-blowing. I’m thrilled to see what he brings to the Ubbi Dubbi stage.

I’m also counting down the minutes to see CRANKDAT and Hol!. Their high-energy sets are perfect for keeping the vibes going strong. And let’s not forget about SLOTH and THNVKS. They’re playing at the same time, but I’m determined to catch both—even if it means sprinting between stages. 

While I have my must-see list, part of the magic of Ubbi Dubbi is discovering new artists and sounds. This festival is known for showcasing both established names and emerging local talent. Whether it’s stumbling upon a hidden gem on a smaller stage or getting lost in the beats of an unfamiliar DJ, there’s always something new to experience.

So, here’s to a weekend filled with music, friends, and unforgettable moments. I can’t wait to dance under the stars, lose myself in the music, and make memories that will last a lifetime. See you at Ubbi Dubbi! 🎶

Ubbi Dubbi 2024 Set Times are HERE!

Danish artist Matt Hawk, a pioneer of the "Car Music" movement, is back with a bang! His latest release, "SKELETON," dropped today, May 17, 2024, under OneHundred/Spinnin' Records, and it's already making waves in the EDM scene.

"SKELETON" is a track that masterfully blends emotive and hard-hitting elements. It kicks off with ominous melodies that smoothly transition into a deep, undulating bassline, complemented by dark synths and menacing vocals. 

Matt Hawk described the production process as unique and different from his usual approach. He aimed to explore new sounds and moods while maintaining his recognizable signature style. According to Hawk, "SKELETON" invites listeners on an emotional journey, touching on sublayers of the mind while driving the energy forward. 

At 33, Matt Hawk is not just a DJ but also an art director from Aalborg, Denmark. His journey in music began in his teens, mixing styles and genres to create unique productions. Today, he collaborates with some of Denmark's top DJs, including his frequent partner HEDEGAARD.

Hawk’s impressive discography includes hits like "SA-MY-D," which is nearing 8 million streams on Spotify, and their remix of "Ni**as in Paris," which has surpassed 4.5 million streams. His track "SYMPHONY," a rework of Beethoven's "Symphony no. 5," also gained significant attention, debuting at no. 21 on the QQ Music EDM Chart in China and amassing over 4.5 million streams on Spotify.

"SKELETON" is a vibe. It has all the elements that make it perfect for a high-energy club scene—think John Wick movie soundtrack (at least to me). The dark, driving beats and the emotive undercurrents create a soundscape that’s both thrilling and immersive. 

I’ve already added "SKELETON" to my playlist, and I highly recommend you do the same. It's a track that will not only get you moving but also make you feel the depth of its dark, energetic vibe.

NY Powerhouse Amy Douglas Teams Up with UK Duo Saison for Euphoric Nu-Disco Anthem "Dare Myself"

Las Vegas-based artist Decadon has released his debut full-length album, "Lovely Destruction." This 20-track masterpiece showcases Decadon's unique sonic style, blending elements of dubstep, melodic bass, and rock music roots.

The album is a deeply personal journey for Decadon, reflecting his emotions and experiences over the past few years. Following the death of his father in 2020, Decadon channeled his grief into the creation of this therapeutic project, resulting in a body of work that is both powerful and cathartic.

"Lovely Destruction" spans a wide range of sounds and emotions, from the ominous tones of "Fragile State of Mind" to the punk-rock energy of "My Ever After" and the ethereal vibes of "Talking to Myself." Each track showcases Decadon's genre-bending abilities and dynamic range as an artist.
