Ten Wonders of Wicked Oaks You Shouldn't Miss

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from covering festivals, it’s that the best memories usually happen between the sets. That’s what has us most excited about Wicked Oaks Festival 2025 — the blend of music, art, wellness, and connection that’s coming to Carson Creek Ranch in Austin this October.

This isn’t just about dancing to our favorite DJs. It’s about waking up to yoga under the trees, grabbing a smoothie from the vendor village, and watching live painters turn ideas into color right before our eyes. Below are ten experiences already on our list and a few personal reasons why we can’t wait to be there.

1. The Concert Dome by Electric Range
A 360-degree experience that mixes live strings with electronic sound. It’s an immersive moment designed to pull you completely into the music, and it’s the kind of innovation that makes this festival feel ahead of its time.

2. The Wicked Willows
A glowing grove filled with photo booths and games that invite everyone to play again. We’re already planning to stop by for a few snapshots and rounds of games because it sounds like the perfect way to heal our inner child and laugh with new friends.

3. The Giving Trees
These installations invite festival-goers to leave a small trinket and take one in return. It’s a reminder that connection is a two-way exchange and we love when festivals make space for something heartfelt like this.

4. Roots and Rituals Yoga
Morning yoga surrounded by nature is at the top of our list. The idea of stretching beneath oak branches while music drifts through the forest sounds peaceful, grounding, and exactly what a weekend like this needs.

5. The Mental Health Oasis
We’re so glad Wicked Oaks is dedicating space to mental wellness. Festivals can be beautifully chaotic, and having a place to reset and breathe makes the experience feel more human.

6. Artist Signings and Meetups
Meeting the artists behind the sound is a dream for any fan, and Flux Pavilion tops our list. His music has been part of our playlists for years, and getting to meet him in such an intimate setting feels surreal.

7. Wicked Woodland Games
These are the carefree, camp-style competitions that bring out the best in everyone. We’re planning to join in because it’s impossible not to smile when people are dancing, laughing, and competing just for fun.

8. Vendor Village: A Feast Beneath the Oaks
Food is its own art form at Wicked Oaks. Between Express Hibachi, Fresh N Juicy, and Caroll’s Corn Crib, there’s something for every craving. We can already picture ourselves grabbing teriyaki bowls or sipping on fruit agua frescas before heading back into the crowd.

9. Festival Fashion Village
The creative side of rave culture shines here. Brands like Decibel Drip and Enlighten Clothing are redefining what it means to dress for expression. We can’t wait to see what local artists and designers bring to the forest runway.

10. Rising Artists to Watch
We’re always looking for fresh sounds, and Wicked Oaks is packed with talent we haven’t seen live yet. Wenzday and Jeanie are high on our list. Their sets promise heavy bass with a touch of attitude — exactly the kind of energy that keeps a festival alive until sunrise.

We go to a lot of events, but Wicked Oaks already feels different. It’s immersive, intentional, and grounded in creativity. Between meeting Flux Pavilion, joining a yoga class in the woods, and laughing our way through photo booths and games, this festival feels like the perfect balance of energy and calm.

We’ll be there capturing every moment, reconnecting with friends, and probably crying happy tears during sunrise sets. Tickets and camping passes are available now at wickedoaksfest.com. See you beneath the oaks.
