Live Recap of Ubbi Dubbi Day 1

Arrival and Entry:

We arrived at Ubbi Dubbi at 4:30 PM, and parking was a breeze. The Ubbi and Dubbi inflatables at the entrance were a charming touch, setting a fun and inviting tone. The will-call line took less than five minutes, making for a quick and easy entry. Despite the humid weather, crossing the bridge was manageable, though it was a bit crowded. Security presence was reassuring with cops and medical staff readily visible.

Getting Inside:

Entry into the venue was smooth, with all lines moving quickly. Our first stop was the Ultra VIP area, which featured comfortable seating, carpeted areas, and actual seats—perfect for relaxation. There were also photo opportunities here, adding to the exclusive vibe. The bar lines in Ultra VIP were short, allowing us to grab a Monaco without a long wait. Large fans were strategically placed to combat the heat, which was a relief when we ventured into the General Admission (GA) crowd where it was super hot.

Amenities and Atmosphere:

The VIP bathrooms at the Ubbi Stage, while lacking air-conditioning, were close enough to the main stage to feel the vibrations from the music. Fortunately, the air-conditioning at the Dubbi stage was functional, providing a much-needed respite from the 93°F humidity. We sampled some delicious offerings from the Lucas stand.

Performances:

As the evening progressed, the crowd grew denser. Despite the heat, there were plenty of shaded seating areas for attendees to take a break. We started our musical journey with RZRKT b2b Vastive, who delivered an exhilarating set. Skepsis kept the energy high, with the crowd dancing non-stop.

Our journey continued with an amazing performance by JUELZ at the Ubbi stage. His trap-heavy set solidified his place as one of my favorite artists. We also enjoyed the beats of TroyBoi and Dabin, who added a fun twist to the evening. Alison Wonderland captivated us for a while before we rushed back to catch Bear Grillz b2b Jessica Audiffred, who closed their set with a bang.

Food and Closing Act:

We grabbed some food at the booths, and although the $15 unseasoned fries were a bit of a letdown, hunger made them passable. The day culminated with the closing act at the Ubbi stage, featuring my all-time favorite artist. The highlight of the night was a surprise appearance by JUELZ, where they performed their hit song "Formula" together.

Final Thoughts:

Day 1 at Ubbi Dubbi was an exhilarating experience, filled with fantastic music, a welcoming atmosphere, and a few minor challenges. Stay tuned for our Day 2 live recap as we continue to explore and enjoy the festival!
