10 Reasons You Can't Miss Freaky Deaky: Eternal Night – Trust Me, You’ll Thank Me Later
Alright, fam, let’s talk about the one event that will make your Halloween legendary—Freaky Deaky: Eternal Night. If you haven’t been before, let me tell you, it’s a vibe. This is where your spooky dreams come to life, and the vibes? Next level. I went once before, and honestly, I had the time of my life. The dancers, the crazy Halloween themes, the endless photo ops—everything you want in a Halloween rave, and more. And now that it’s moved to Austin, I’m so hyped to see how it’s leveled up. Here’s why you can’t miss it:
#1 Headlining Acts You Don’t Want to Sleep On
Let’s be real—if you’re going to a festival, the lineup has to be fire. Freaky Deaky did not let me down! We’re talking about Chase & Status, Deadmau5, and a special set from Louis The Child! Yes, please! Oh, and don’t forget Subtronics is on deck. Plus, Brownies & Lemonade is taking over one of the stages, and if you know them, you know it’s about to be wild.
#2 Blood Rave at The Boneyard (Yes, a Blood Rave)
Picture this: It’s 7:45 pm, you’re at The Boneyard stage, and suddenly the Blood Rave starts. Yeah, it’s exactly what it sounds like. You’re going to be showered in darkness, freaky vibes, and who knows what else. By the time you walk out, you’ll look like you just stepped out of a nightmare—and you’ll love it.
#3 Four Stages, Each Spookier Than the Last
If you’re like me and love variety, you’re in luck. Freaky Deaky has four stages, each with its own creepy theme. From The Shrine to The Crypt, Haunted Hallow, and of course, The Boneyard—each one wit its own unique vibe. Every stage has a different lineup, so you can dive into new sounds or stick with your favorite genre. Or if you're like me, wander until something catches your attention. There’s something for everyone.
#4 The Production – Lasers, Pyro, and All the Good Stuff
Freaky Deaky doesn’t hold back when it comes to visuals. Expect insane lasers, pyro, CO2 blasts, and massive LED screens at every stage.
#5 Need a Break? Check Out the OUTLET Mental Health Lounge
Festivals are all about having fun, but sometimes you just need a little reset, right? The OUTLET Mental Health Lounge is the perfect place to chill if things get too overwhelming. It’s a tranquil spot with resources and people who are there to talk if you’re feeling stressed or just need a break. Honestly, it’s such a nice touch.
#6 Twilight Cinema – Because, Duh, Halloween Movies
I don’t know about you, but I love a good Halloween movie. The Twilight Cinema is back, showing classic spooky flicks under the barn. It’s perfect if you want to relax for a bit before diving back into the madness. Grab some snacks and chill out with your favorite horror movies.
#7 A Haunted House to Test Your Nerves
As if this festival wasn’t already spooky enough, there’s a Haunted House. It’s filled with interactive installations and creepy art. If you’re up for a scare, this is where you’ll get it.
#8 Costume Contest – Show Off Your Freaky Side
If you’re like me and love going all out for Halloween, this is your time to shine. Whether you’re rocking devil horns or going full-on witch mode, enter the Costume Contest and you might just walk away with a prize. The best part? You can snap your pic at one of the photo booths, so you’ll have proof of your spooky masterpiece.
#9 Ultra VIP – Because Sometimes, You Gotta Treat Yourself
If you’re looking to elevate your experience, the Ultra VIP package is where it’s at. You’ll get access to the Sky Lounge overlooking the main stage, private bathrooms (yes, please), express entry, and two free drinks. Plus, the upgraded viewing areas? Completely worth it. It’s the ultimate way to experience the festival.
#10 Food and Drinks to Keep You Fueled
You know the deal—raving works up an appetite. Luckily, Freaky Deaky has all the food options you could dream of. From street tacos to vegan bites, there’s something for everyone. And while you’re at it, check out the sponsor booths from Beatbox Beverages, Bang Energy, White Claw, and Voodoo Ranger for fun activations and refreshments to keep the energy going.
I’ve only been to Freaky Deaky once before, but it was such an incredible time that I have to go back. The dancers, the openness of it all, and the endless Halloween-themed photo ops made it so much fun. If you’re in Texas or anywhere near Austin, this is 1000% worth checking out. I haven’t been to the new venue yet, but you can bet I’m excited to see how it’s transformed into this epic, gothic wonderland.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your tickets, plan your costume, and I’ll see you at Freaky Deaky: Eternal Night!
